The oldest hydroelectric plant is Cragside in England and the largest is the Three Gorges Dam in China.
There are more than 2,000 hydroelectric power dams in the United States.
Many countries, such as Norway and Brazil, get 85% of there energy for hydropower.
In 2006, hydroelectricity supplied around 20% of the world's electricity.
Hydropower provides more than 160 countries.
